Ajoa is a full-spectrum doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, new parent educator, fertility advocate, and Pregnancy and Infant Loss advocate whose work is rooted in compassionate, evidence-informed, and family-centered care. Her passion for supporting families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum transition, lactation, and loss is deeply personal and professionally grounded.
As a young mother, Ajoa experienced pregnancy and early motherhood as a major life milestone filled with joy, uncertainty, growth, and transformation. During that time, she learned firsthand the profound importance of having a strong support system. From moments of deep happiness to more daunting seasons, she was surrounded by a village that offered helping hands, open hearts, and steady encouragement. That support gave her the confidence to move through the challenges of early motherhood, and it ultimately inspired her commitment to become that same source of guidance, care, and reassurance for other families.
Today, as a mother of four, Ajoa draws from both her lived experience and professional training to support individuals and families across the maternal and perinatal spectrum. She considers it an honor to serve as part of a family’s first “welcome team” during labor and delivery, while also continuing that role as an educator, advocate, and steady source of encouragement throughout the postpartum period. Her work centers on helping families feel informed, supported, empowered, and emotionally prepared as they welcome and nurture their newest family member.
Ajoa provides comprehensive full-spectrum doula services, including support for fertility, pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum adjustment, lactation, miscarriage, and infant loss. She is a Certified Postpartum Doula through the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association, a Certified Labor Doula, a Certified Meditation Instructor, a New Parent Educator, and a Certified Lactation Counselor through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. She is also a Fertility Advocate and a Pregnancy and Infant Loss Advocate. Ajoa holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University and an Early Childhood Education and Development Credential through the Department of Children and Families.
Her academic and professional foundation allows her to approach birth work with a strong understanding of child development, family systems, perinatal education, and culturally responsive support. Ajoa recognizes that the presence of a trained doula can positively influence the birth experience by increasing emotional support, strengthening advocacy, improving communication, and helping families navigate labor, delivery, and postpartum care with greater confidence.
As a full-spectrum doula, Ajoa’s role is to ensure that families are informed, respected, and supported throughout their maternal health journey. She provides essential guidance that allows partners, spouses, and family members to remain fully present during birth and postpartum care. While every birth and postpartum experience may not unfold exactly as planned, Ajoa is committed to helping families feel empowered, prepared, and affirmed as they move through the natural, emotional, and transformative process of bringing new life into the world.
